The Founder

Forty years in the bush first

Chris Michel spent four decades exploring Australia as an adventurer and mechanic, and built the Sunseeker Caravans range before this one. Vision RV exists because of what he kept seeing out there: vans that couldn't take the country they were sold for.

So every Vision is built past the point of reasonable. Timber out, composite in. Bolts where staples would do. A stub axle you can replace beside a track instead of a chassis you have to tow home.

I'd rather over-build a van than see an owner break one.

Launched on a torture track

No hotel ballroom, no canapés. Vision launched in late 2020 at the LandCruiser Mountain Park in Queensland, where journalists spent the day dragging the vans around a torture track trying to break them.

They didn't. That day is still how we test — The Springs 4x4 proving-ground series continues it, on camera, van by van.

What we hold to

Four pillars

/01/

Craftsmanship

Built by people who will see these vans again — at the service bay, years on.

/02/

Functionality

Every feature earns its weight. If it doesn't work at camp, it doesn't ship.

/03/

Design excellence

Luxury that survives corrugations — engineered first, styled second, never the reverse.

/04/

Pioneering innovation

Timber-free before it was expected. Airbags before they were asked for.
